Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: 27/08/2026
Applies to the Mind and Matter website (mindandmatter.ngo) and the Mind and Matter volunteer app for Android and iOS.
By using our website or our volunteer app, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before using our services.
How we handle your personal data is set out separately, in our Privacy Policy.
1. Use of Our Website and App
Our website and app are for educational, charitable and volunteer-coordination purposes only. You agree not to misuse them or their content.
2. Your Account
The volunteer app is invite-only. Accounts are created by our administrators for volunteers, coordinators and staff — there is no public sign-up. What you can see and do in the app follows the role you hold, and access ends when that role does or when your account is deactivated.
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details to yourself and for what is done through your account. You can delete your account yourself at any time, from Profile → Account settings → Delete account.
Some activity material shared through the app is governed by a separate usage policy, which you are asked to read and accept in the app before that material opens. Those terms apply in addition to these.
3. Donations & Payments
All donations are voluntary and non-refundable. We use Razorpay for secure payment processing. Subscription-based donations may be canceled anytime via Razorpay. Donations are made through our website; the app does not take payments.
4. Intellectual Property
All content on our website and in our app (text, images, logos, and the activity material shared with volunteers) belongs to Mind and Matter. Unauthorized use is prohibited.
5. Limitation of Liability
We are not responsible for any damages arising from the use of our website or app. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
6. Changes to Terms
We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of our website or app implies acceptance of the updated terms.
7. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Madikeri, Karnataka.
