About Us

Who We Are

Founded in July 2020, based out of Kodagu aka Coorg in Karnataka, Mind and Matter is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering communities through education, mental well-being, and creative expression. We believe in nurturing curious minds, fostering emotional resilience, and creating inclusive spaces where knowledge and creativity thrive.

We have been able to reach 30,000+ beneficiaries, with 2,500 adults supported through our work so far. We have conducted 1,000+ mental well-being workshops. We work directly with the Kodagu and Mysuru district Child Protection units. We also collaborate with the Dept of Psychiatric Social Work, NIMHANS. The organization currently has over 220 NIMHANS trained volunteers with over 200 resource persons. We have collaborated with Pratham Books for the Building Library Project. We have collaborated with artists such as Raghu Dixit, Vasu Dixit, All OK, Karthik Gubbi, Raghu Gowda, Bhoomi Shetty, Nandu, Manu Shrivasta, Siddarth Venkat, Vineet Vincent, Ashwin Mandoth, and many more.

Our Mission

Our mission is to create a better world. We understand that for the world outside to thrive, the world within must first find balance and harmony. When the mind is at peace, all evils in the world will cease to exist. Through our initiatives, we aim to inspire positive change from within, leading to a more compassionate, thoughtful, and equitable society.

Our Vision

We envision a future where every individual—regardless of background—has access to education, emotional well-being, and creative opportunities. By bridging gaps in learning, mental health, and community engagement, we aspire to build a society where knowledge empowers, art inspires, and well-being is a shared priority.
