Library Building Projects
Building libraries, opening minds. Through safe and welcoming learning spaces, Mind and Matter nurtures curiosity, creativity, and lifelong learning.
Books have the power to transport, transform, and empower.
In July 2021, Mind and Matter launched its Library Building Project with a book donation drive, which later expanded through a collaboration with Pratham Books to establish children's libraries.

So far, we have successfully set up libraries in five children's homes, ensuring that children from vulnerable backgrounds have access to books that spark imagination, curiosity, and confidence. We believe that books are a gateway to new perspectives and an essential tool for building communication skills.
As we continue this journey, we hope to expand our library network, making the joy of reading accessible to many more.
This initiative has two key components:
- Children’s Libraries – Dedicated spaces in children's homes where young minds can explore the world through books.
- Circulating Libraries for Adults – A system that allows books to be shared, encouraging continuous reading and learning.
