At Mind and Matter, we work closely with the Kodagu and Mysuru district child protection units, supporting children from vulnerable backgrounds who need care and protection. Our goal is to empower these children by equipping them with knowledge, emotional resilience, and life skills that prepare them for a brighter future.
We expose children to a diverse range of subjects and fields, sparking curiosity and broadening their perspectives. By bringing in resource persons—experts from various domains—we enable them to learn beyond textbooks, engage in meaningful discussions, and build confidence in interacting with the world around them.
Our mentorship program plays a crucial role in helping children navigate their emotions, relationships, and self-identity. Trained volunteers work with small groups of 6-7 children, ensuring individual attention and personalized guidance.
On February 5, 2024, Mind and Matter, in collaboration with the Government of Karnataka, conducted a Career Guidance Program for 275 children from child care institutions across the state. With 55 resource persons, we facilitated discussions on conventional and unconventional career paths, encouraging children to explore diverse opportunities.
The event concluded with a musical session by Vasu Dixit and Karthik Gubbi, reinforcing the message that passion and creativity are essential in every journey.
